Students in grades nine to twelve can use this kit to test their local water and four other water samples (including control water samples) for thirteen different components. Students will test for alkalinity, ammonia, arsenic, colour, copper, heterotrophic plate count, iron, manganese, nitrate, pH, sulphate, total chlorine and total hardness. The less plastic kits do not include the four water bottles in which the water samples to be tested are collected (they still include the water bottle with the deionized water in it), and they do not include the plastic cups and disposable plastic beakers.
